Be the operational spine of a project team — submittals, RFIs, schedule updates, and document control — for a Project Manager running institutional work.
The role
The difference between a project that delivers on time and one that slides is usually documentation discipline. As a Project Coordinator at KenHome, you are the person who closes that gap.
You will partner directly with a Project Manager on 1–3 active projects. You will own the submittal log, the RFI log, the daily reports, the subcontractor compliance binder, and the owner deliverables package. When the project is audited, your work is what the auditors read.
This is a career path role — our Project Managers all started somewhere, and many of them started here.
What you'll do
- Maintain submittal, RFI, and change-order logs in Procore or Autodesk Build; keep aging under agreed SLAs.
- Pull daily field reports from superintendents; consolidate for the PM's weekly owner report.
- Track subcontractor insurance, bonds, and license expirations; flag 30 days before lapse.
- Assemble and maintain owner project files — turnover manuals, as-builts, O&M manuals, warranty documentation.
- Schedule and minute OAC meetings; distribute action items and track to close.
- Coordinate permits, inspections, and utility disconnects with AHJs.
- Support the PM during buyout: help issue subcontract packages and collect required compliance documents.
- Process pay applications and lien waivers in coordination with Accounting.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in a construction project coordination, document control, or assistant PM role.
- Working knowledge of Procore, Autodesk Build, or a comparable construction management platform.
- Strong Excel skills — you can build and maintain a log that someone else can read.
- Excellent written English; your emails are where OAC minutes come from.
- Detail orientation that you can defend with examples from prior roles.
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's strongly preferred.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's in Construction Management, Business, or Communications.
- OSHA 10 or 30.
- Bluebeam Revu proficiency.
- Prior exposure to AIA document family or federal compliance binders.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage (employee premium 100% covered; dependents heavily subsidized)
- 401(k) with 4% company match, vested immediately
- 20 days PTO + 11 paid holidays; separate sick bank
- 12 weeks paid parental leave
- $3,000 annual continuing-education and certification stipend
- Life, AD&D, and short/long-term disability
- Relocation support for role-critical hires
